Celebrate Libraries Week
Do you regularly visit your local library, use the 24/7 online library services, or have you not visited a library for a while? Dorset Libraries have lots on offer, and the whole country will be celebrating during Libraries Week 7th-12th October.
There’s still time to enter the competition which closes on 7th October - Build a Library of the Future out of Lego bricks

Code Clubs in Dorset Libraries
Code Club is a global network of free coding clubs for children aged 9-13 yrs who learn to make animations and music, program with python and html, and experiment with Microbits.
Code Clubs are run by volunteers and we need more!
Sturminster Newton, Shaftesbury, Weymouth and Gillingham all need enthusiastic helpers to carry on coding- you don't need to be an expert - you just need enthusiasm, good computer skills and a willingness to learn alongside the kids.
Can you spare an hour a week during term time?
To find out about clubs near you, and to volunteer, ask at your local library or the code club website.
Support Charities this Christmas
It may seem a long way off, but Charity Christmas cards are now on sale at Tourist Information Centres in Dorchester, Lyme Regis, Sherborne and Wareham, so why not beat the rush and stock up now?
Cards for Good Causes will also be coming to Weymouth and Ferndown libraries around mid-October.
