HAVE YOU LOST IT?
If you have, the Library may have found it! We have a wonderful collection of bookmarks which have escaped from their owners, some of them looking as if they are much loved, much used. (I mean the bookmarks, not necessarily the owners!)
Rachel may be looking for one which describes her personality (what a nice person she seems to be); Ellie sent love to her Auntie Julie and hoped she liked the bookmark ….; Trevor must be missing his nearly-antique leather bookmark; a music lover’s souvenir from the Bournemouth Winter Gardens dated 1 January 2000 will be a much sought-after antique on 1 January 2100; a reader visited Flanders Fields and bought a bookmark commemorating John McCrae and his poignant poem; someone else visited the Welsh Folk Museum; another reader whose name begins with ‘M’ perhaps is wondering where he or she put his or her beautifully embroidered bookmark…………
And there are lots more, too many to mention here. But do ask when next you come to the Library. It would be so satisfactory if we were able to reunite loved items with their owners.
