The National Literacy Trust is kicking off the National Year of Reading 2026, and Dorset libraries are joining in with big plans, starting with The Big Launch this January.
Come along to share your reading resolutions, add to our community collages of what and where you read, and chat with our friendly library team about your favourite topics.


The campaign aims to inspire more people to read for pleasure and transform the nation’s reading culture.
From January, drop into your library to design a bookmark that reflects what you love, because ‘If you’re into it, read into it.'
